Sculpt the body of your dreams with SCULPTRA...

Fillers are for a lot more than just your face. Sculpt the buttocks, hips and more that you've always desired with some help from our team at Essence Medical.

SCULPTRA IS AVAILABLE AT ALL ESSENCE MEDICAL LOCATIONS.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is a specific type of dermal filler specially designed and proven to help with fine lines and wrinkles in various common areas of the body. The compound it is made up of works to stimulate the production of collagen in your body -helping to provide desired structure and support to the target area.

Is it painful?

Sculptra is widely recognized as a pain-free nonsurgical cosmetic procedure. Each injection feels similar to receiving the prick of a needle involved with bloodwork or vaccination. If you are concerned with the pain or discomfort associated with this procedure our trained medical staff will happily speak with you further on it before proceeding.

How much will I need?

There is no standard dose as there are a lot of factors (such as the size of the target area and whether or not you've received Sculptra in the past) involved in how much would be required to obtain desired results. Our trained staff will always fully assess your situation and ensure you are comfortable before administering.

What is it used for?

Sculptra can safely be used in a number of regions of the body. The two most common application areas are the buttocks and hips. Our trained Essence Medical staff will happily discuss your unique individual goals to identify whether Sculptra is suitable for you.

How long will it last?

Sculptra like most other medical aesthetic procedures, does require upkeep as the results do fade over time. How long the desired result from Sculptra lasts varies from patient to patient, however most patients find that results can last up to 2 years Our team at Essence Medical is always ready to assist you in the proper maintenance of your Sculptra work to ensure you always look your best.

After procedure care?

Our team will always outline a number of best practices post-procedure to maximize results. In general, patients can typically go about usual activity immediately following a procedure, however we typically advise that you avoid strenuous activity for at least 24-48 hours after treatment.

What is Sculptra made of?

Sculptra, like many other fillers on the market, is largely made of poly-l-lactic acid. Our experienced staff keeps itself on the pulse of all options, ensuring that we only ever offer what we believe to be the best filler on the market for both your health and the desired results.

Who shouldn't use it?

Anyone with neuromuscular disorders such as muscular dystrophy, or any muscular diagnosis is generally advised not to receive Sculptra. We also do not advise it for anyone that is currently breastfeeding or pregnant. Our staff will always run through any and all concerning medical conditions you may have to ensure the best medical decision is made and that they are comfortable before administering.

What are the side effects?

All medical and cosmetic procedures come with a degree of risk. Potential side effects include minor pain, swelling, bruising, discolouration and itchiness. Side effects are very rare, and our fully-trained staff works with the utmost care to minimize the chances of any unpleasantries. We are always happy to answer all questions and can direct you to more detailed product paperwork upon request.
