Plexr

Lift and rejuvenate the look of your eyes and more...

Plexr is a truly remarkable non-surgical treatment that is primarily used to lift your eyes, but also works effectively to treat unwanted skin lesions.

PLEXR AVAILABLE AT OUR LABRADOR, GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR & CORNER BROOK LOCATIONS.

What is Plexr?

Plexr is a non-surgical treatment that utilizes plasma technology through a specialized device to treat skin laxity. Its primary application is to help with lifting your eyes to help them appear more youthful and engaging, however Plexr can also assist with removing a number of unwanted skin lesions including moles and skin tags.

How fast will I see results?

Plexr, like many other treatments, takes some time to take full effect and showcase desired results. The healing process with Plexr specifically is generally on the longer side and your skin will appear quite abnormal and visibly treated throughout the healing process. We strongly recommend that most patients set aside at least 2 weeks post-treatment to allow the treated area to heal.

After treatment care?

As part of your recovery it is expected that the treated area will form a number of carbon crusts. It is paramount that these crusts are not picked at as doing so can dramatically increase healing time and impact the end result. Our trained medical staff will outline a number of best practices to ensure your healing process goes as smoothly as possible.

What device do you use?

The Plexr treatment at Essence Medical utilizes the specialized Plexr Plus device. It is a hand-operated device that our fully trained medical staff has extensive experience with. The device and technology are trusted by medical professions all across Canada due to its reliability, safety and effectiveness.

How many treatments?

As part of your FREE consultation, our staff will help you in determining how many treatment sessions you are likely to need for your specific area of concern. Plexr is more often than not a single extensive treatment however some conditions require multiple rounds that are strategically spaced out from one another to allow the treated area time to heal.

How long do results last?

Results from Plexr are generally permanent however lifestyle habits and choices can cause issues to arise once again in the treated area. For example, those who continue to smoke after having their smoker's lines treated by Plexr may have new lines form over time. In general, the positive results from a Plexr treatment are expected to last at least one year.

What can it treat?

Plexr can be used to treat:

  • Eye Lifts, Eye Bags

  • Smokers Lines

  • Moles

  • Skin Tags

  • Wrinkles

  • Rhytides

  • Acne Scarring

Who shouldn't use it?

As part of your FREE consultation, our staff will run through any and all concerning medical conditions you may have to ensure Plexr is only done when deemed safe. In general, Plexr is not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active infection, those who use a pacemaker or with cancer or uncontrolled diabetes.

What are the side effects?

All medical and cosmetic procedures come with a degree of risk. Side effects from Plexr include swelling and the formation of temporary carbon crusts in the treated area. Our trained medical staff always does everything possible to minimize side effects and we are always happy to answer all questions and can direct you to more detailed procedure paperwork upon request.
