What is Botox?

It functions by blocking nerve signals preventing the targeted muscles from contracting as freely as they normally would. What is Dysport®?
Like Botox, Dysport® is also a neuromodulator with Botulinum Type A as its main ingredient. It's fully approved for cosmetic use and has been proven effective for wrinkles and fine lines, especially excelling when it comes to forehead lines, crow's feet and much more. What is Vitamin B12?
Also known as cobalamin, vitamin B12 is a vitamin that our body readily depends upon for many core functions including DNA production, red blood cell production and overall brain function. While vitamin B12 can be found in a number of commonly consumed foods, your body's absorption of it is dependent on a particular protein produced in your stomach. Deficiency of vitamin B12 is unfortunately very common.
Are the injections effective?
Vitamin B12 injections when properly administered by a trained medical professional, such as our staff at Essence Medical, have been proven to be very effective at providing your body with the vitamin B12 it needs in a manner in which it can process and work with it. They are considered incredibly safe and have no major side effects connected to them.

Our staff will only administer one vitamin B12 injection per treatment session. We will also review your medical history and concerns to ensure the injection is right for you, and to help layout a plan for additional injections if that is in your best interest.

What is a Keloid Scar?
A keloid scar is generally a very thick, raised, discoloured and noticeable scar. It primarily occurs as a result of an injury or trauma, and is most commonly found on the chest, shoulders, cheeks and earlobes but can occur on other locations of the body. They typically are not considered harmful to your health, but many choose to seek treatment in hopes of eliminating them for aesthetic purposes.
Are the injections effective?
When administered correctly the injections can help to dramatically reduce, and in some cases even remove the keloid scar over time. The specially designed injection breaks down the bonds between the collagen fibers within the scar impacted area which reduces the amount of tissue and ultimately it's visibility.

The number of injections needed and with what frequency varies from patient to patient.
